Se la plastica non esistesse, bisognerebbe inventarla!
Facile da modellare, resistente agli urti, all’umidità, ai detergenti, ai cambiamenti di temperatura, biocompatibile, malleabile a volontà, colorata, più economica degli altri materiali… Ma nello stesso tempo la plastica, o meglio le plastiche, hanno invaso tutto sul nostro pianeta: i nostri negozi, i nostri veicoli, il nostro corpo, le nostre abitazioni, i nostri oceani, i nostri terreni, la nostra acqua, i nostri alimenti… Una fotografia, è l’incontro fra un bisogno d’espressione e uno spettatore. Il fotografo propone una via, fra molte altre, per testimoniare le sue percezioni, la sua sensibilità, il suo sguardo sul mondo per interrogarlo ed esporsi per far sognare, far vibrare, far avanzare, per calmare, capire, provocare, chiamare in causa, toccare. Giocare sul dualismo di un’immagine attraente con la gravità del suo oggetto non è per sminuire la sua importanza, ma per affrontarla in un modo diverso. |
If plastic didn’t exist, it should be invented!
Easy to mold, resistant to shocks, humidity, detergents, temperature changes, biocompatible, malleable at will, colorful, cheaper than other materials... But at the same time, plastic, has invaded everything on our planet: our shops, our vehicles, our bodies, our homes, our oceans, our soils, our water, our food... A photograph is the encounter between a need for expression and a spectator. The photographer proposes a way, among many others, to testify to his perceptions, his sensitivity, his gaze on the world, to interrogate it and expose themselves in order to make people dream, to make them vibrate, to move forward, to calm, to understand, to provoke, to touch. To play on the dualism of an attractive image with the seriousness of its object is not to diminish its importance, but to approach it in a different way. |
